PACK LEADERSHIP POSITIONS

Pack Committee Chairman: Duties include coordinating all the functions of the Pack including finances, projects, special events (e.g., Pinewood Derby, Blue & Gold Banquet, etc.), membership, and communications to all the den leaders.

Pack Cubmaster: Duties include coordinating the efforts of all the den leaders and hosting the monthly Pack meetings.

Pack Treasurer: Duties include keeping track of all the finances for the Pack. Track monthly expenses and deposits, and reports details to the Pack Leadership team. Minimum bookkeeping skills required.

Pack Secretary: Duties include building and maintaining a membership roster for the Pack. Assists in Scout Night Recruiting and other main Pack activities and maintains Pack directory. Also, assists Committee Chairman with Pack meetings, internal communication with other leaders, communicates agenda etc…

Pack Awards Manager: Duties include purchasing all the various awards (pins, badges etc…) for the Pack meetings. Also, assists the Cubmaster with the delivery of awards at the Pack meetings.

Den Leader: Duties include guiding a group of boys through their Cub Scout experience. Need leaders at all levels: Tigers, Wolves, Bears and Webelos. We recommend at least two leaders per Den.

Summer Pack Coordinator: Organize 2-3 summer activities for the Pack. These are not formal meetings, but fun activities such as laser tag, swimming, movies etc…

Conservation Project Chairman: Organize a fall and spring service project for the school or community. Examples include: cleaning up the grounds around Brinker and Centennial Schools, clean up the parks around the schools etc…

Recruiting & Back-to-School Event Chairman: Recruit new scouts at the end of the school year through September's "Join Scouting Night" (an ice cream social).

Historian: Take and collect pictures from each Scouting event and keep the Pack photo album up to date.

Blue & Gold Chairman: Plans the Banquet held in March of each year. Blue & Gold is a dinner and presentation ceremony for all the 5th grade boys who have earned their rank as Sr. Webelos and will be “crossing over” into Boy Scouts.

Scouting for Food: Oversee the food drive in February for our Pack. The food drive is a Boy Scouts of America national event.

Fall & Spring Campout Chair ("Baloo"): Organize and plan the fall and spring campouts. You will need to organize activities for the boys with the help of the Cubmaster and den leaders, locate camping sites and help plan the meals for the pack.

Pinewood Derby Chairman: Help with the planning and organization of this January event.

Raingutter Regatta/Space Derby Chairman: Help with the planning and organization of this May event.

Spirit Wear Chairman: Responsible for ordering, storage and distribution of Class B t-shirts for the Pack.

Summer Day Camp Coordinator: Responsible for registering the Cub Scouts for the Great Plains District Summer Day Camp held in June at Bob Woodruff Park in East Plano.

We are an entirely volunteer-run organization!

All parents who volunteer for leadership positions in the pack must take Youth Protection Training (YPT) every 2 years.  This online class is quick and easy and so important!
